Barry Manilow was the biggest hit-maker of the 70s and 80s and he is still touring at age 82. We are happy to present his younger prodigy (not really) for this area premiere. John Waldie thrilled audiences last year with his Billy Joel tribute, now he presents 'Barry Me a Little', his take on the man who "wrote the songs that make the young girls cry" (though he didn't write that song - Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys did.) Don't miss the local 'King of the Keys' as he modulates his way through the Manilow repertoire.
‘Pinnacle Works’ is an exciting assemblage of repertory pieces that represent contemporary dance-making practices from Brazil, Western Europe, and Israel. The program is reflective of Boston Dance Theater’s (BDT) beginnings and the international artistic relationships which gave the company its start.
Choreographers Itzik Galili (The Netherlands, Israel), Marco Goecke (Germany), and Alessandro Sousa Pereira (Brazil, Denmark) have each been decorated by royalty for their unique contributions to the performing arts. Boston Dance Theater (BDT) is the only dance company in the world that performs a full evening by these distinguished choreographers.

Three seasoned, professional Maine musicians join talents for this show, merging Lynn’s original folk-blues-gospel-tinged songs with your favorites. Maine singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Lynn Deeves honed her stage skills on the New England high energy, rock club circuit. Her soulful vocals, wit and easeful presence have since captivated audiences around the Northeast and beyond. Deeves has released 4 independent CD’s and shared stages with Cheryl Wheeler, Janis Ian, Ellis Paul, Catie Curtis, America and many others. Portland Press Herald says of her live show “…5-star stage presence…this gals’ got a set of pipes…”). Guitarist Robby Coffin has as soulful voice and diverse, tasteful guitar style that (over a 40-plus year career) has garnered him gigs with such notables as Peter, Paul and Mary, Devonsquare, Dave Mallett and Don Campbell Band. Alfred Lund is a percussionist who loves playing instruments of his own creation, from his custom cajon made from a Klipsch speaker box to ashiko drums fashioned from local woods. He performs with many Maine-based musicians and songwriters and also maintains a thriving healing arts practice in Hallowell Maine.
Already being hailed as “the next Woody Guthrie,” and a troubadour of truth, Crys Matthews is among the brightest stars of the new generation of social justice music-makers. An award-winning, prolific lyricist and composer, Matthews blends Country, Americana, Folk, Blues, and Bluegrass into a bold, complex performance steeped in traditional melodies punctuated by honest, original lyrics. Matthews began performing in 2010 but cemented her acclaim at Lincoln Center as the 2017 NewSong Music and Performance Competition grand prize winner. She is made for these times. This weekly “backyard party” makes the most out of the easy Sundays afternoons of summertime!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy an afternoon at the farm! Come and listen to live music, have a pint of a local beer, snack on a bison hot dog, visit the farm store and bring the kiddos to meet our friendly farm animals.
Each week features a concert of local musicians from diverse genres: rhythm & blues, jazz, Americana and more. Each open-air concert is the perfect backdrop for family and friends to lounge in the late afternoon sun and soak up the remaining moments of a Maine summertime weekend.
