Owlbear’s Rest is usually an escape from adulting for grown-ups—except on Sunday mornings! Bring the whole crew for a game-filled adventure that’s perfect for adventurers of any age. Your little halflings can enjoy a warm steamer while you sip on a well-earned latte (oat milk available!).

Enhance strength, balance and body awareness in this classical Pilates series at the JCA. Led by classically trained and certified instructor Becca Asen, each session focuses on mindful and controlled movements and proper alignment. Rooted in Joseph Pilates’ six core principles — centering, control, concentration, flow, breath, and precision — this method offers benefits for all bodies and abilities.

Participants are welcome to attend any number of classes in the series. Yoga mats will be provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. No prior experience is necessary; all abilities are welcome, ages 13+. Class punch cards are available for purchase at the front desk. With a punch card, you buy 10 classes and get the 11th class for free! Punch cards never expire and may be redeemed for any class with Becca Asen at the JCA.

General public - $15 per class | JCA members - $12 per class.

Participants can bring current, knitting, crochet, sewing, embroidery, weaving, felting, all things fiber and needle projects and work in conversation with each other.

Special guests will introduce new techniques.

New to all this? We will provide supplies, beginning instruction and materials for you to try.

Seth hails from a musically gifted family and pairs his talents on acoustic guitar and harmonica to bring an exciting mix of covers and originals to the Last Run Pub. His folk-inspired style sets the perfect vibe for a great afternoon of aprés ski that everyone is sure to enjoy. All ages. Free admission. Join Ferry Beach for some line dancing fun on Sundays from January to May!

Line dancing is accessible to everyone, fun for all, and no partner is needed! The focus will be on many different beginner dances, some simple and some more complex, but all appropriate for beginners and higher level dancers. Sign up for one, many, or on a bi-weekly or weekly basis!

Line dancing is a fun way to get some steps in, to enjoy dance and music and meet others from the community. All are welcome!

Please dress comfortably as we will get warm from dancing and be sure to wear shoes appropriate for dancing.

Instructor: Joyce Bailey has been teaching dance since 1995 In the greater Portland, ME area. She has taught ballroom, Latin, and swing dancing, and more recently became hooked on line dancing!

Jud Caswell
On March 3, Maine’s well-known singer -songwriter Jud Caswell will introduce several emerging Maine songwriters. While known for his own compositions and interpretations of vocal and guitar classics, Jud Caswell is also active in supporting and developing Maine’s well-regarded array of folk and contemporary singers and songwriters. In this special concert, Judd will present Maine’s latest talents as well as some of his own compositions.

With Grown from Roots, the multi-instrumentalist group Invoke takes listeners on a journey into the historical roots of the string quartet, roots-music influences present throughout the history of Western classical music, and the ensemble's own roots across a wide array of musical traditions. You'll hear works by Haydn, William Grant Still, Aaron Copland, Maurice Ravel, a world premiere featuring PCMF’s Artistic Director, violist Melissa Reardon, and more.​

Come try out water polo with Southern Maine Water Polo! We are a club that welcomes all newcomers. The only requirement for the sport is that you are an experienced swimmer. We will help to teach the fundamentals of the sport throughout practice. Expect a fantastic workout while playing this fun sport! Make sure to check out our website for any changes to our schedule. We do not practice on holiday weekends.
