PORTLAND, Maine — A Boston man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his role in a drug trafficking ring that distributed cocaine in the Lewiston-Auburn area.
Brian Wilkerson was also sentenced this week to eight years' probation in U.S. District Court in Portland. He had pleaded guilty last October to a charge of conspiring to distribute cocaine.
Federal prosecutors say the 36-year-old Wilkerson from early 2012 until June 2013 supplied kilogram quantities of cocaine to an Auburn man, who then distributed it in central Maine.
The other man, 27-year-old David Goyette, pleaded guilty last month to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and awaits sentencing.
