NJ Gov. Christie Returning to Maine for LePage

BANGOR, Maine — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be rallying voters around Republican Gov. Paul LePage one week before Election Day.

Christie, the chairman of the Republican Governors Association, will make his fourth trip to Maine for LePage on Tuesday. The governor is in a tight race with Democrat Mike Michaud and independent Eliot Cutler.

Christie and LePage will make campaign stops at Quirk Auto Park in Bangor and headline a fundraiser at the Bangor Banquet and Conference Center.

Christie is also stopping in Maryland and Rhode Island to support Republican candidates on Tuesday.

During his last visit to the state earlier this month, Christie said winning the governor's race in Maine is critical for the Republican party.
