Seeking the Truth in the Kennedy Assassination

Seeking the Truth in the Kennedy Assassination

The University of New England’s Center for Global Humanities recently hosted an address entitled Seeking the Truth in the Kennedy Assassination. The speaker is Jeremy Gunn.

Dr. T. Jeremy Gunn (who holds both a Ph.D. and a J.D. law degree) spent four years investigating the assassination of President John F. Kennedy for the U.S. government. He served as the Executive Director and General Counsel of the JFK Assassination Records Review Board (1994-1998), an agency of the Federal government, that was responsible for collecting and declassifying U.S. government records about the assassination. He had rare access to individuals and records associated with the assassination. He is the only person to have taken sworn depositions of the doctors who performed the Kennedy autopsy as well as the physicians who treated President Kennedy at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He interviewed directors of Central Intelligence and other figures in the CIA, FBI, NSA, and military intelligence (including the person identified as “Mr. X” (Donald Sutherland) in the Oliver Stone film JFK. His Top Secret/SCI clearance gave him access to all of the sensitive records related to the assassination. The evidence collected included many surprises not previously known.

This talk was recorded November 22, 2013 at the WCHP Lecture Hall, Portland Campus of UNE.
