Heating oil prices

AUGUSTA, Maine - Winter is in full swing in Maine, but heating oil prices are continuing to tumble in the state.
 
The Governor's Energy Office said on Wednesday the average statewide cash price is now $2.86, which is 9 cents less than three weeks ago. Kerosene is now $3.45 per gallon, also down 9 cents from three week ago. Propane is $2.87, 2 cents less than three weeks ago.
 
The prices are all more than the average 2017-18 heating price, which was 27 cents less for heating oil.
 

Prices for heating oil across Maine have at last begun to stabilize, according to the latest state data.

A statewide survey this week put the average price at $2.44 per gallon, an increase of 9 percent since the heating season begin in October.
 
The increase comes on the heels of spikes following Hurricane Harvey in late August, which affected more than a third of the nation's refining capacity.
 

AUGUSTA, Maine - The Governor's Energy Office says the price of heating oil in Maine has nosed up slight over the past few weeks.
 
The statewide average cash price for No. 2 heating oil was $2.03 per gallon this week. The office says that is seven cents more than it was in mid-July.
 
The statewide price of kerosene was also up 4 cents, to $2.56. Propane prices have gone up one cent per gallon in that time to $2.36.
 
The office says global oil prices are still in check despite heating prices rising higher than mid-summer lows.

The statewide average is $1.74 per gallon. Kerosene was also down 5 cents to $2.33 per gallon and propane fell 3 cents to $2.19 per gallon.

The highest average price for heating oil in Maine was $1.88 per gallon in northern Maine. The lowest average price was $1.68 per gallon in western Maine. The highest heating oil price found in Maine was $2 per gallon in the central part of the state.

The statewide average is $1.81 per gallon. Kerosene was also down 2 cents to $2.42 per gallon and propane crept up one cent to $2.22 per gallon.

The highest average price for heating oil in Maine was $1.96 per gallon in northern Maine. The lowest average price was $1.76 per gallon in western and southwestern Maine. The highest heating oil price found in Maine was $2.17 per gallon in the eastern part of the state.

AUGUSTA, Maine - A Maine government survey shows the state's heating prices are continuing to slide downward.

The Governor's Energy Office said Thursday that the latest survey put the average statewide price at $2.08 a gallon. That's down another 9 cents over the last two weeks. The average kerosene price of $2.67 was nine cents lower and the average propane price of $2.21 was four cents lower.

The highest average price for heating oil in the state was $2.28 in northern Maine. The lowest average price of $2.01 was found in the southwestern part of the state.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ A Maine government survey says the average price of heating oil in the state has dropped 6 cents from a month ago to $3.39 per gallon.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ A Maine government survey says the average price of heating oil in the state has dropped 5 cents from earlier this month to $3.46 per gallon.
 
    The Governor's Energy Office said Tuesday that the average statewide price for a gallon of heating oil ranged from $3.15 to $3.87. It also found the average price of kerosene dropped to $3.93 per gallon. The average propane price is now $2.82.
 

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ A Maine government survey says the average price of heating oil in the state has held steady from two weeks ago at $3.51 per gallon.
 
    The Governor's Energy Office said Tuesday that the average statewide price for a gallon of heating oil ranged from $3.24 to $3.87. It also found the average price of kerosene dropped 1 cent over the last two weeks, to $3.98 per gallon. The average propane price is now $2.83, a drop of 5 cents per gallon from two weeks ago.
