The 2nd annual Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club pizza challenge will be held at the Westbrook Community Center gymnasium on Thursday April 18th from 4:30-6:30pm - this year highlighted by the addition of a 5-judge panel which includes local WLOB radio host Ray Richardson, Ch. 6 meteorologist Jason “Mr Pizza” Nappi, Ch. 6 reporter Johnny Maffei and even Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce. Channel 13’s Jeff Peterson will be the event MC.

10 local pizza restaurants are competing for the titles of Best Overall Pizza, Most Creative Pizza, and the Peoples Choice Award. Profenno’s Pizzeria and The Frog & Turtle will be looking to defend their titles from last year’s inaugural event in 2023.

For just $12 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for 5 and under - entrants will get all you can eat (on premises), plus available desserts, a DJ/music, mini-massages, face painting, cornhole, caricatures, Jenga & Connect4 games, balloon twisting, a JetBlue raffle for 2 roundtrip tickets, and the Community Center’s Toddler Open Play program with bounce-houses and other activities for kids 5 and under!

The drawing for 2 Jetblue round trip tickets good for any of Jetblue’s 100+ worldwide destinations will be held at 6:30 - along with the pizza restaurant award winners.

Event proceeds will help fund the many charitable programs of the Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club - including youth scholarships, as well as literacy, homeless, and food insecurity community initiatives.
