The Camden International Film Festival, a program of the Points North Institute, takes place this September and it is unquestionably one of the most powerful experiences held in Maine each year. In fact, this is the 20th year of advancing the art, artists, and audiences of cinematic nonfiction.

But the reach of CIFF has transcended Maine’s borders. CIFF has come to be recognized across the world as one of the most important stops on the film festival circuit, with one of the most adventurous programs to be found anywhere.

This year there will be 30 feature films and 23 short films from 25 countries. Additionally, sixty percent of the films featured are significant premiers of these works (United States, North American, and/or the World). If you are a film and documentary lover, this is a must-attend experience.

This year's CIFF will offer an array of options enabling participants to choose their own adventure: in person from September 12 to 15 throughout venues in the Camden and Rockland area and virtually from September 16 to 30. They have a variety of ticket and pass options that allow attendees to customize their 2024 CIFF experience.
