In collaboration with Yarmouth Historical Society we proudly present our screening of: High Noon. This is a classic Hollywood Western that was highly acclaimed on release and has since established itself as a landmark film in the genre. Starring Gary Cooper (who won an Oscar for this performance), High Noon tells the tale of a man forced to take a stand against overwhelming odds to protect a town full of people who refuse to stand up for themselves. Moral and ethical questions are raised as Cooper’s character desperately searches for a solution that doesn’t end in his death. This is not your typical Western.
