Maine Lighthouse Day

The Grindle Point Light Station Museum has extended hours past the summer season this year. The light station is 0pen during the month of September, Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 to 2:30 and Sundays 12:30 to 4:30.

September 14 is Maine Lighthouse Day and the Grindle Point Light Station Museum and Gift Shop will be open from 8:30 to 4:30. A short ferry ride across the bay will bring you to the lovely island of Islesboro.

Come for a visit and see the new exhibits detailing the progress on the restoration of the light station, the storm damage from January's storms, and the restoration and return of the model sailboat, the Puma.
