BANGOR, Maine (AP) _ More than 1,200 utility customers lost power in Bangor, Maine when a truck struck a pole in the city.
Utility Emera Maine says 1,256 Penobscot County customers are without power Friday afternoon. The utility says all households on three streets near the accident site are in the dark. The utility cautions that it will take time to make repairs because of the broken pole. The accident occurred at 10:46 a.m.
Emera says crews will remain in the area until power is restored. The utility anticipates service will be restored by about 2 p.m. Friday.
