6-Year-Old Injured While Crossing Street To Board School Bus

FARMINGTON, Maine - Police say they're trying to get to the bottom of how a 6-year-old boy was struck by a truck at a school bus stop in Farmington, Maine. Officials said the boy was taken to a local hospital with a leg injury Monday morning.

Police said they have not determined whether the bus's stop signs were up and flashing at the time of the crash. No charges had been filed as of Tuesday morning.

Neighbors said vehicles travel too fast along the road.

Regional School Unit 9 Superintendent Tina Meserve said the school district is reviewing all of its safety protocols following the incident.
