Maine Secretary Of State Debuts Historical Video Shorts Ahead Of Bicentennial
Maine Secretary of State Matt Dunlap is debuting a series of 30-second recorded announcements, prepared by the Maine State Archives, retelling the story of the state in the months leading up to its bicentennial. The series and similar projects are being unveiled Thursday morning in Winthrop.
The projects include an installation that will offer viewers 360-degree virtual reality views of notable Maine places, like the Maine State House. Later this fall, an exhibit in the Maine State Archives lobby at the Cultural Building Atrium in Augusta will open, and it will feature a copy of Maine's Act of Admission to the Union, historic maps and the first draft of the Maine State Constitution.
