Consumer Drones and You


Drones were a popular gift this holiday season.  The FAA has recently issued registration guidelines for drones.  Learn who the regulations apply to and other legal consideration.

Guests:  Mike Bosse: Chair of the Construction Practice Group at Bernstein Shur and team lead for the Drone Law Team. He received his JD from the University of Maine.

Jason Levasseur: Bernstein Shur’s IT Training Specialist and a personal drone operator. He became involved with drones through his videography and brings the perspective of drone consultant and operator to the Drone Team.

Zach Sundquist, Assistant Airport Director at the Portland International Jetport.  Mr. Sundquist is responsible for the day to day operation of the Jetport. He oversees the marketing, communications, and air service development of the Jetport. He has a Masters of Aeronautical Science with a dual specialization in Management and Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is also an Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives.

Jennifer walked into her college radio station as a 17-year-old freshman and never looked back. Even though she was terrified of the microphone back then — and spoke into it as little as possible — she loved the studio, the atmosphere and, most of all, the people who work in broadcasting. She was hooked. Decades later, she’s back behind the radio microphone hosting Maine Public Radio’s flagship talk program, Maine Calling. She’s not afraid of the mic anymore, but still loves the bright, eclectic people she gets to work with every day.
