Frederick Thompson

Maine is known for having a predominantly white population, but there is also a rich history of African American residents of our state. As part of Black History Month, we'll learn about the role that African Americans have had in shaping Maine, and how efforts continue to educate people about that history.

Guests:  Kate McBrien, Director of Public Engagement / Chief Curator, Maine Historical Society

Pam Cummings, President of the Board of Directors and Director of Education, Abyssinian Meeting House

Leroy Rowe, Assistant Professor of African American History and Politics, University of Southern Maine
