Robert F. Bukaty

Associated Press
A member of a tour group views ducks on Sabattus Pond in Sabattus, Maine, in Nov. 2016. The Maine Brew Bus tour group combines bird watching and with visits to microbreweries in southern Maine.

Broadcast live from the Schoodic Institute.

This year has been declared the “Year of the Bird” to celebrate the passage of the Migratory Bird Treaty. We’ll hear from expert birders about the importance of the Migratory Bird Treaty and why Maine is an ideal spot for birders.

Jonathan was born in Monsey, New York. A field trip to Washington, DC when he was in 7th grade started him on his circuitous path to a career in public radio. The trip inspired a love of politics and led to his desire to one day call DC home. After graduating from Grinnell College, he worked on a couple of campaigns in Iowa (presidential and congressional) and moved to Washington, DC.
