State officials say Maine fishermen made more than half a billion dollars on their catch in 2020 — the ninth highest amount on record.

Most of the $516 million came from the lobster fishery. While the lobster catch fell slightly from 2019, it still had a landed value of more than $400 million.

Softshell clam harvesters were brought in more than $15 million last year, while elver fishermen brought in more than $5 million.
