Join Victoria Browning Wyeth, the only grandchild of iconic artist Andrew Wyeth, for an engaging lecture on the work of her grandfather. Victoria’s lecture, “I Paint My Life”, will examine the most famous works by Andrew and discuss subject matter, context, technique, and of course, fun family stories behind the paintings. Ms. Wyeth intersperses discussions of subject matter and technique with direct quotes to her from her grandfather. She also, of course, adds many personal memories and family stories. The lecture will be followed by a reception with time to meet Victoria and ask further questions. A wonderful late afternoon event for art lovers, and lovers of Maine art, with this engaging speaker.
