Kioea Album Release Performance at CMCA

Kioea Album Release Performance at CMCA
On Saturday, August 12th, at 11 AM, see Kioea perform songs from their new album, Stand Tall, at The Center for Maine Contemporary Art! The show is free and open to all ages. (rain date 08/13)
Selected as a Bandcamp "New and Notable," Stand Tall explores a signature surf psych sound. Kioea, named after an extinct Hawaiian songbird, symbolizes strength and translates to mean "Stand Tall." Guitarist Carand Burnet, the driving force behind the band's intricate melodies, wants to uplift listeners with her music. Burnet adds, "Stand Tall is a mantra that empowers me as a female musician, and I hope this album inspires others."
