We honestly can’t wait! There is something so special about going to the Common Ground Country Fair and each year it gets even a bit more special. From fiber arts to green building, live music, organic foods from around Maine, an exciting lineup of keynote speakers, and a bevy of children’s activities, there is something for everyone at the fair.

The 48th annual Common Ground Country Fair will be held at the Common Ground Education Center in Unity on September 20, 21 and 22. The fairgrounds are open Friday and Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association’s (MOFGA) annual celebration of rural living will feature 1000-plus exhibitors and speakers, and emphasizes vibrant communities, sustainable living and local economies, while highlighting organic agriculture.

As all fairgoers know, one must Fair experience is to shop at the Common Ground Country Store and pick up a Fair T-shirt. this year's gorgeous artwork is by Maya Kuvaja and is titled “Owl with Apples.” This artwork aligns with MOFGA’s mission and spotlights how organic orchards serve as important habitats for wildlife, including birds of prey.
