The fruit is the Armenian symbol of life and tradition tells us that each mature pomegranate has 365 seeds, one for each day of the year. Using the pomegranate with its many possibilities we will roll out ink on a printing plate and selectively remove some ink , creating a monochromatic design to print. In late September of this year, nearly the entire population of Artsakh (120,000) fled on a narrow mountain road across the border to Armenia in a 3-day exodus to escape attacks on their villages and towns. These refugees are under-nourished, have medical needs, and left behind their belongings, livelihoods, and indigenous lands.
