Maine's ATV trails will be closed through at least late May after this week's heavy rains and flooding.

The Maine Bureau of Lands issued a notice earlier this week that the damage and wet conditions mean that trails will be closed through at least Memorial Day weekend.

Maine's ATV trails typically open in mid-May at the earliest, and many don't open until early June to give time for them to dry out.
