PORTLAND, Maine - A Maine man who believes his son was one of five people killed in a fire at a two-apartment house says he has questions about the condition of the house and whether smoke alarms were working.
David Bragdon Sr. of Rockland says he fears his son, 27-year-old David Bragdon Jr., is among the five victims of the fire that broke out Saturday morning following a Halloween party.
Investigators were combing through the ruined home on Sunday. They have not identified any victims.
Bragdon says his son lived in the home and worked at the Great Lost Bear restaurant. He hasn't been heard from since the fire.
Bragdon, his eyes filling with tears, talked to reporters outside the house, saying: "Is it true? Is it real? It's hard not knowing 100 percent.''
