Michael Kazin - 'American Dreamers: How the Left Changed a Nation'

  Michael Kazin, author of American Dreamers: How the Left Changed a Nation gave a talk recently at The University of Southern Maine presented by University of Southern Maine Department of History and Political Science, and the Machiah Center.

Michael Kazin is a Professor in the Department of History at Georgetown University. and historian of American politics and social movements of the 19th and 20th centuries. His talk took the audience from abolitionism and early feminism to the labor struggles of the industrial age, through the emergence of anarchists, socialists and communists, and to the new left in the 1960s and 1970s.

This talk was recorded April 11, 2012 at the Shep Lee Community Room, Wishcamper Center, University of Southern Maine, Portland.
