The Lewiston Farmers' Market operates every Sunday, May through November, and will occur rain or shine. The Lewiston Farmers’ Market is proud to be able to offer community members farm fresh, local food and goods in a way that supports community well-being.
Owlbear’s Rest is usually an escape from adulting for grown-ups—except on Sunday mornings! Bring the whole crew for a game-filled adventure that’s perfect for adventurers of any age. Your little halflings can enjoy a warm steamer while you sip on a well-earned latte (oat milk available!).

The Crooked River Gathering takes place August 28th–31st, 2025. Located in Hiram, Maine—just 45 minutes from Portland. Hosted on a historic riverside fairground, this unique four-day event is a celebration of community, creativity, and connection through bluegrass and old-time music, homesteading, artisan craft, and folk culture. The weekend features live performances, jam circles, hands-on workshops, craft vendors, food trucks, skillshares, and community meetups. The event is free for kids and free on-site camping is available for all attendees, making it an immersive and family-friendly experience for music lovers, makers, and nature enthusiasts alike. This weekly “backyard party” makes the most out of the easy Sundays afternoons of summertime!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy an afternoon at the farm! Come and listen to live music, have a pint of a local beer, snack on a bison hot dog, visit the farm store and bring the kiddos to meet our friendly farm animals.
Each week features a concert of local musicians from diverse genres: rhythm & blues, jazz, Americana and more. Each open-air concert is the perfect backdrop for family and friends to lounge in the late afternoon sun and soak up the remaining moments of a Maine summertime weekend.
A free chess club open to anyone over the age of 10. All levels of experience are welcome. We have boards, but feel free to bring your own.
Flies & Lies fly-tying group is open to anyone interested in fly tying and fly fishing. Meet at the Machias Savings Bank every other Sunday (twice per month) from October 6 to April 20 to promote fly fishing, conservation, and fun. Maine's 2nd largest agricultural fair, featuring a large Exhibition Hall, giant Rockwell Amusements midway, Livestock, Truck and Tractor pulls, Livestock barns and events, Harness Racing everyday but Weds., live music, giant pumpkin contest, two nights of demolition derbies, Woodsman's Day, Black Cat Hell Drivers Auto Stunt Thrill Show and so much more! We open at 9am each day, closing at 10pm each night, except 6pm on Labor Day. There is no alcohol, glass or weapons allowed on the grounds. No pets allowed, fully trained service animals only.
