The 27th annual Apple Pumpkin Festival, provided by Franklin Savings Bank, is the fall festival of the Livermore Falls, Livermore, Jay area. Tons of foods. Vendors. Fun for the kids, including bouncy houses, clowns, and slides. Live music. Giant balloons. Touch a truck. And more.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walks provide an opportunity for communities to walk together toward a world without suicide. Join us for a day of giving back to nature at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge's Fall Stewardship Day! 🍁
Grab your work gloves and bring your enthusiasm as we come together to care for the trails and landscapes that make our refuge special. There will be jobs for every ability—whether it’s painting trail blazes, clearing paths, tidying up picnic areas, or helping with lighter projects like organizing our event shelter, there’s a way for everyone to contribute!
All the materials necessry for project will be provided so all you need is your energy and a love for the great outdoors. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or a first-timer, we welcome everyone who wants to lend a helping hand. Let’s make a difference together! 💚

Join Sherman O’Brien at Borestone Mountain for an introduction into all things clouds! We’ll discuss cloud types, how they form, and how they can inform us about coming weather. Meet at the entrance gate at the bottom of the mountain.

The Lewiston Public Library will be offering drop-in Preschool Playdates from 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays* in the Children’s program room.
*(The Library will be closed on Saturday, 8/30 in observance of Labor Day & Saturday, 11/29 in observance of Thanksgiving.)

Drop-in and join us for Preschool Playdates! Preschoolers and their families are invited to stop in during our Preschool Playdates to engage in imaginative play and build friendships. A variety of toys, games, and crafts will be available during all sessions.

The programs will take place in the Children’s Program Room on the 3rd floor.

The programs are free and there is no registration required. All families with children between the ages of 2-6 are welcome to attend. Siblings are also welcome.

Richard Boyd Art Gallery opens September with a group exhibition of paintings and sculptures in a range of styles created by a group of national and internationally renowned visual artists with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and styles.

The exhibit is comprised of a magnificent selection of fine art that offers viewers a visual narrative of feelings expressed in color, depth, detail, and texture. From the calming beauty of a foggy landscape to the immersive experience of a surrealistic dreamscape, art takes viewers on a personal journey of exploration. Art is an international language we all understand, offering viewers adventure and discovery.

The exhibition presents an exceptional collection of paintings and sculptures created from the soul of the artist. Each work is a well-rendered expression of emotion, passion, and feelings. The exhibit includes works by Deena S. Ball, Tim Eaton, Patricia Chandler, Randy Eckard, Richard H. Eyster, Laura Freeman, Jane Herbert, and HM Saffer II.
