Wiscasset Art Walk is a summertime celebration of art, music, performance, and history, located in the beautiful 19th century Village of Wiscasset, along the sparkling Sheepscot River. In August, featuring Long Branch playing trad, country, and pop; and Maine Youth Circus performers entertaining on the sidewalks! Learn to juggle!

Visit artist-owned galleries and the Village’s fine collection of boutique shops and antique stores – most of which are open during WAW, 4-7pm. Look for music in the galleries, and performers, artists, and community groups on the sidewalks. Sample a variety of Village restaurants during this visitor-friendly evening.

All events are free and family-friendly with plentiful free parking throughout the Village. In 2025, the WAW evenings are held on the last Thursday of July and August, 4-7pm.

Visit the cemetery's unique field of underground tombs, the oldest gravemarker from 1717, the final resting place of the famed Captains of the 1813 battle between the Boxer and the Enterprise, and the interesting carvings of Portland's first stone-cutter, Bartlett Adams. Tours include early gravestone art, important local historic figures, Portland's historic events, and the landscape of this National Historic Landmark, including segregated sections for Black people, Catholics, Quakers, and strangers. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the ground is uneven once we leave the main pathway. Tours are held unless the weather is stormy.

Held every Thursday from 4–7pm, the Local Goods Market features hot food, beverages, baked goods, and specialty products from Fork Food Lab members and other Maine makers. The weekly event offers the community a chance to support local businesses, discover new favorites, and connect directly with the entrepreneurs shaping the future of Maine’s food economy. The market features free & easy parking and a great community. Shop small and be part of something big!

Event Description: Come enjoy a lovely evening in our flower fields, and cheers your experience with a specialty cocktail, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options served at Sylvia’s Mobile Bar. We have clippers, jars, and helpful staff available with tips and tricks to help you make the most of your jar-building experience. Sylvia’s bar is stocked with all the drink options and your first drink is included with your experience.

Thursday, August 28 at 6 PM. Dana Pearson Concert. Join us for some good vibes and live music in the Graves Library Summer Music Series. Bring your friends, bring your chair, sit back, tap your feet, and listen to some local beat. Dana is a guitarist and plays a little bit of everything. Celebrate summer, our community, and our fondness for talented artists right in our own backyard! A suggested donation of $10 per person would be appreciated. Sculpture Painting with Cats
Paint your own cat-shaped bud vase! The ceramic vases will be pre-made individually by Selina Chan of Tealight Studios, a Portland-based artist, who makes art and accessories for pets and pet lovers. Learn about painting on pottery, get design inspiration, and go crazy with patterns or keep it simple! Each piece will be available to take home after glazing and firing.

Beginner workshops are perfect for you to grab your friends, grab a drink and come make tiny trees! We’re bringing the awesome art of bonsai out of the hedged in gardens and into the streets! Or at least into your favorite bars/breweries/pubs. Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree!
