The Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans is hosting its 21st Holiday Show and Sale in the newly restored Bowdoinham Town Hall as a part of a community-wide holiday celebration. Twenty artisans will be offering fine artisan gifts such as pottery, stained glass, fiber art, jewelry, woodworking, metal work, book art, fine art paintings and more. Spark your holiday spirit with a visit to Historic New England’s 1807 Nickels-Sortwell House, December 5 – December 7, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, part of Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest.. Experience the house’s stunning interiors in a whole new way from vintage Christmas and New Years celebrations to a fantasy solarium. Tours are self-paced with. guides on hand to share the stories of the people and lives lived here. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets are good for entrance anytime during open hours that day. Tickets are $5 Historic New England members and Wiscasset residents, $10 general admission. Children under 12 accompanied by an adult are free. After the tour, come into the original kitchen (not included on regular tours) and enjoy a warm drink and snack. Then visit the Holiday Shop in the Nickels-Sortwell House Barn featuring a curated collection of unique craft and artisan creations, holiday greens and gifts. It’s that festive (and delicious!) time of year. Gibbs Library in Washington, Maine, is excited to host this year's Gingerbread Festival on Saturday, December 6th, from 10am-12pm in the Bryant Room. Visit Gibbs Library for decorating (and eating!) cookies, a festive holiday reading of stories, the gift of books (one book per family), and all-around good holiday cheer. Come celebrate the season and make (and enjoy!) some tasty treats.

The Lewiston Public Library will be offering drop-in Preschool Playdates from 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays* in the Children’s program room.*(The Library will be closed on Saturday, 8/30 in observance of Labor Day & Saturday, 11/29 in observance of Thanksgiving.)
Drop-in and join us for Preschool Playdates! Preschoolers and their families are invited to stop in during our Preschool Playdates to engage in imaginative play and build friendships. A variety of toys, games, and crafts will be available during all sessions.
The programs will take place in the Children’s Program Room on the 3rd floor.
The programs are free and there is no registration required. All families with children between the ages of 2-6 are welcome to attend. Siblings are also welcome.
