Mary's Walk began in 1999 as a way to honor Mary Kerry Libby, a much-loved member of the Saco-Biddeford community who passed away from Burkitt's Lymphoma. 28 years later, Mary’s Walk has raised over $4.6 million for Maine Cancer Foundation. Join us every March to celebrate community and raise money to fight cancer in Maine!
Enhance strength, balance and body awareness in this classical Pilates series at the JCA. Led by classically trained and certified instructor Becca Asen, each session focuses on mindful and controlled movements and proper alignment. Rooted in Joseph Pilates’ six core principles — centering, control, concentration, flow, breath, and precision — this method offers benefits for all bodies and abilities.
Participants are welcome to attend any number of classes in the series. Yoga mats will be provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. No prior experience is necessary; all abilities are welcome, ages 13+. Class punch cards are available for purchase at the front desk. With a punch card, you buy 10 classes and get the 11th class for free! Punch cards never expire and may be redeemed for any class with Becca Asen at the JCA.
General public - $15 per class | JCA members - $12 per class.

Gardeners and orchardists are invited to bring their seeds, scionwood and cuttings to share. If you don’t have any, come anyway! There is always plenty of seeds and scion to go around.
Community members and local seed growers regularly bring an incredible variety of vegetable, fruit, flower, and herb seeds. We also regularly have over 150+ types of scionwood to share, including scionwood sourced from MOFGA’s orchards. We will also have limited quantities of rootstock for sale. Custom grafting is available by donation to the Maine Heritage Orchard.
Other items for sharing are welcome such as plants, cuttings, seedlings, hatching eggs, kombucha and yogurt starters, salves and other homemade items.
The day’s offerings also include gardening workshops, pruning demonstrations, and other educational activities.
Since the mid-2000s, Andy has been sharing his music from Portland all the way to Fort Kent, filling venues with his signature sound. His set blends pop, rock, indie, alternative, and folk into a lively mix you won’t want to miss. All ages welcome. Free admission! Join Ferry Beach for some line dancing fun on Sundays from January to May!
Line dancing is accessible to everyone, fun for all, and no partner is needed! The focus will be on many different beginner dances, some simple and some more complex, but all appropriate for beginners and higher level dancers. Sign up for one, many, or on a bi-weekly or weekly basis!
Line dancing is a fun way to get some steps in, to enjoy dance and music and meet others from the community. All are welcome!
Please dress comfortably as we will get warm from dancing and be sure to wear shoes appropriate for dancing.Instructor: Joyce Bailey has been teaching dance since 1995 In the greater Portland, ME area. She has taught ballroom, Latin, and swing dancing, and more recently became hooked on line dancing!

Written by Tony Winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty, and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, Anastasia: The Musical is a spectacular musical about discovering who you are and defining who you’re meant to be.
The fragility of democracy, the nature of truth, small-town secrets, and the human capacity for both good and evil are explored in a 90 minute spirited city council meeting. This dark comedy is a Maine premier.
Under the direction of Emily Mirable, the Y-Arts Community Players bring Alice in Wonderland to the stage this spring. Four performances including Friday, March 27 at 6pm, Saturday at 2pm and 6pm, and Sunday at 2pm. Limited seating, buy your tickets early!
